How do I change / edit my profile? |
To edit your profile, Log in to the My Matrimony Account page and then follow these steps:
a) Under the My Profile column (on the left hand side of the page), click on Modify your profile
b) Edit your profile according to the instructions provided and click the Submit button at the end of the form.
Your profile will be edited and updated and made available to all Saptpadi.com members in upto 48 hrs. |

| If you have deleted your profile, you will have to create a new one to go back on the Saptpadi.com site. You will not be able to use the same user ID and e-mail ID as that gets occupied under your status and becomes inactive after deletion. Once profile deleted it can not be restore again |

Are there any privacy options for my matrimonial profile display? |
Definitely there is. There are mainly 3 display options that you can apply to your matrimonial profile:
1. Allow my detailed profile to be viewed by all visitors. (Recommended)
2. Allow my detailed profile to be viewed only by registered users who pass my filters.
3. Don't show my detailed profile or summary profile to any user, I will contact and search profiles.
You can mention the display options either during registering your profile or you can also specify it later on by editing the profile.

| When you have seen a member’s profile carefully, at the top of page click on the Express Intrest button. And voila! You have made an initial contact with a Saptpadi.com member. An initial contact can be made by both FREE and PAID MEMBERS (paid members). But a PAID MEMBER will be able to View-Print contact giving their contact details. This increases the chance of a response from the person contacted. So it is advisable to upgrade to a PAID MEMBERSHIP. |

To find your soulmate, follow the given steps:
a) Create an online profile: this is the first and most important step. This profile will determine how others who come to the site will know you as.Be honest and spend time filling the open fields regarding yourself, your family and who you are looking for.
b) Upload a good, clear photo: 70% of all searches are for a photo profile, so it is important to have your photo in your profile.In case you are not comfortable about displaying your photo, we have privacy options that will protect your photo and can be seen only by those whom you allow to do so.
c) Specify the partner Expectation profile: This will help us as well a well as others to have some idea of what you want. Please put only those conditions that are an absolute must and not which are desirable. Things like tall, dark, very fair, only doctor etc.restricts the matches, so avoid them. In case of a problem, write back to us or chat with us while creating a profile.
d) Make enough contacts: Log in and use partner profile matches to search and then make contacts with profiles that you like, this is a first step, so make as many contacts as you can.
e) As a free member, you will only be able to make initial contact (a mail will go from Saptpadi.com intimating the person contacted that you are interested in his/her profile).But if/when you upgrade to a FULL membership, you can send your own mails to others and when they accept, you will be able to see their contact details and take the conversation to the next level. |

How do I set a FILTER and is it important to do so? |
| It is not necessary to set a FILTER but if you have certain specifications in mind, and you are not going to deviate from that, then it makes good sense to set a filter. In this way only a select set of people will be able to contact you. The steps involved are: a) Let’s say that you want to contact only those boys who are 27 to 31, Mararastrian Brahmin , Punjabi Brahmin or Gujrathi Brahmin and are residing in the US or India .Then you can log in to Member control Panel and in the “ My Privacy (below r left hand corner) click on partner profile and enter these conditions and save your partner profile b) Once you have saved this, then go to set filters. Here you will get the same conditions and options to choose. Depending on your stipulation, choose and then set the filter. c) Now only those profiles that fulfil the criteria will be allowed to contact you.

How do I add a photo to my profile and is it important to do so? |
| It is important to add your photo, because the most viewed profiles on our site are the ones with a photograph. In fact, putting a photograph , increases the chances of a response by about 10 times than what a normal profile would have got!! You can add a single photo or multiple photos(up to 2 photos) in your profile. It is very simple to add your photo- Just log on to the My Control Panel page and under Checklist option on the Right hand corner of the page, go to upload/ remove photo. Click on that and you will be logged on to the Upload photo. Follow the simple instructions there to upload/send a photograph. You can upload photo with your family also. However the main photo is your close-up. |

How do I put my photo online? |
To add your photo to your profile online, follow the following steps: Log on to the My Control Panel page and under My Check List on the Right hand corner of the page, go to upload/ remove photo. Click on that and you will be logged on to the Upload photo. Scroll down to the add/replace photo column.You will see that the form has two options-.jpg or.gif. .these are two of the most popular photo formats on the internet. If you are not sure about the format of your photo, check the extension of your photo file. If it ends in.jpg, it is a .jpg file and if in.gif, then a .gif file. DO NOT send photos in any other format as you will not be able to upload your photograph in that case. Click the BROWSE button and select the photo file from your computer. Make sure the photo file is not more than 100 KB in size. scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the submit button. Your photo will be uploaded on the Saptpadi.com site. Your photograph will then be screened and could take up to 48 hrs. to go online.
